Block Party | Friday, August 22

Break out those lawn chairs and come hang out in our own backyard to celebrate the Grand Opening of our newest building and student work at The Art Institute of California – San Diego’s Annual Art Institute Block Party, Friday, August 22, 2008. Kicking off the festivities, will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony with honorary appearance by a special guest. Art Institute Block Party, Backyard Style 2008 will highlight the best of the best student work in design, media arts, fashion, and culinary arts, giving YOU the opportunity to take home $500 and top honors at the Golden Flamingo Awards. All you have to do is upload your work below! Artwork will be viewed and voted upon by our very own staff, faculty, and your fellow students (one vote per person).

Winners will be announced at The Art Institute Block Party on August 22.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible to enter the competition, please complete the entry form, release, and upload artwork submission to the gallery. Must be a current student at The Art Institute of California – San Diego. One entry per student. Entries will be accepted from June 5 - August 5. Deadline to submit your entry is August 8.

Uncompressed .mov, .wmv, .mpeg, .flv, .mp4, .gif, .png, jpg, and .jpeg

PRIZES

1st place in each category takes home $500 Visa gift card.
2nd place in each category takes home $200 Visa gift card.
